Who is in the mood for Gelato? With this weather, I know I am!

I was lucky enough to do a shoot with Giovanni’s Gelato based in Centre MK, Milton Keynes and boy was it fun. I mean who doesn’t want to work with delicious treats?

Giovanni’s Gelato is run by two Italian brothers who really know their stuff. Not only do they have a stall here in Milton Keynes, but they are a supplier for many businesses all over the UK. So when they offered me a taste of their award winning gelato, how could I refuse?

I was in heaven. The gelato was so creamy and it took me back to my trips to Italy, walking the streets with a cone in my hand and taking in my surroundings. Then I remembered I better get back to work!

Working with ice cream is never easy. I’ve had to work super fast in the past just to get the shot before there is a puddle on set. Once I had to resort to making fake ice cream for a product shoot just so we could get the shot right. So when I was asked to do this shoot I was a bit nervous.

However the team were fantastic. They had cleared out their freezer so that whatever was about to come on set came straight from the freezer. Once I had my set ready I gave them the green light to bring it over and it worked a charm.

I really enjoyed this shoot and hope to do it again one day, not just to taste the gelato! (Ok maybe partly due to that). If you are in Milton Keynes I highly recommend them, you won’t be disappointed.
