Did somebody say Tandoori lamb chops? Yes please.
Hello lovely readers. How are you all? Is everyone getting ready for the festive season? I feel like its crept upon us so quickly. The year has flown past.
When everyone is so busy, sometimes we need a quick fix for dinner. We want delicious food but don’t always have the time to cook it. We also don’t get the chance to eat out as much as a family with young children. More so because our little one doesn’t want to sit still in a high chair! So sometimes its nice to bring restaurant dishes home.
I came across Gymkhana’s products online and thought I’d give one a try. Gymkhana is a Two-Michelin star restaurant in London which I can only dream of visiting one day. They’ve recently released some of their marinades and sauces which they sell in Waitrose. I grabbed a jar of tandoori marinade and decided to make their signature lamb chop recipe.

I was given some great advice from the butcher at Waitrose, who told me I needed lamb cutlets for this recipe. I simply took them home and covered them in the tandoori marinade. I left them in the fridge for two hours and then cooked them in the air fryer for around 12 minutes.
They came out lovely and charred and tender. And I have to say, the flavour was fantastic. It was smokey and well spiced. I served it with a cool cucumber raita and a lemony salad spiced with cumin. I think it is safe to say that my husband was very happy!
This would be a great dinner party dish, especially because it was so easy to make. And the best part is knowing that this marinade is not full of any nasty ingredients or preservatives. It felt like we had a little taste of the restaurant right in our own home. A rare treat but definitely worth it!
What’s your favourite restaurant dish to recreate at home? Would you give this a try? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
